Chinese Chicken Wings

2 pounds (or 8) chicken wings, wing tips removed
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons cold water
1˝ tablespoons soy sauce
1˝ tablespoons Asian sesame oil
1 tablespoon medium dry sherry
1 piece fresh ginger, cut 1 inch thick and minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Splenda or other artificial sweetener
˝ teaspoon coarse salt

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine all the ingredients except the chicken wings, and blend to make marinade.

Cut each chicken wing into two pieces. Add the chicken wings to the marinade and turn to coat all over. Seal the bag and refrigerate for 1 hour or more, turning the chicken pieces occasionally.

Lightly coat the lined baking sheet with a nonstick vegetable spray. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade (discard the marinade) and place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, turning the chicken wings every 15 minutes to ensure they brown evenly.
