Oriental-Style Fillets

Popular flavors from the Pacific Rim give fish an innovative twist.


1 pound (450 g) white fish fillets
cup (60 ml) reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
1 teaspoon canola oil
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish


Serves: 4


Arrange fish fillets in a baking dish. Combine soy sauce, lime juice, lime zest, oil, ginger, and green onions in a small mixing bowl. Pour over fish. Turn fillets to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Drain and reserve marinade. Preheat broiler; spray broiler pan with vegetable cooking spray and arrange fillets on broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes, brushing with marinade at least once. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
